Daniel Belland is a composer, pianist, flautist, accompanist, and music director based in Edmonton, Alberta. As a composer, he was one of two high school students to be selected for the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra’s Young Composer’s Project, under the mentorship of Robert Rival. Daniel was also the 2012 winner of the Canadian Music Centre’s Emerging Composer Competition. His music has been performed by the orchestras in Edmonton and Winnipeg, as well as at the Edmonton Fringe Festival. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music with a major in Composition at MacEwan University.
Daniel is available for hire as a keyboardist, composer, music director, accompanist, and teacher.
Daniel also plays keys and writes music for The Commons, a contemporary fusion quintet based in Edmonton.
